A Day At The Zoo

Last week Drew & I went to the zoo with his friend Haley and my mom (NiNi). We had so much fun looking at all of the animals - the penguins were Drew's favorite and the giraffes were Haley's favorite. It was a good thing that I had my mom with me because 2 four-year old's at the zoo when you are 9 months pregnant can be a challenge!

As I am sure you are all curious about, no - Ethan has not made his appearance yet. He seems to be quite happy where he is and likes keeping us all in suspense. I had an appointment today and we scheduled an induction for Monday (May 18th) morning. Hopefully he will decide to come out before then, but if not we won't have to wait much longer either way.

Hope everyone is doing well, take care!

~~Happy Spring~~

Happy Spring to everyone, we hope that you are all doing well!

We have had a relatively quiet spring, just getting ready for Ethan's big arrival. According to the doctor last week, things are progressing nicely but we probably won't get to meet Ethan until mid-May. That's only 1 week past his due date, but this momma's getting tired and Drew is incredibly excited to meet his little brother. His nursery is finished and we couldn't be any happier with the way it turned out. Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy:

Drew has been doing great at preschool and having a ton of fun with his friends. Tim & Drew recently went swimming at the YMCA and had a blast. Drew couldn't get enough of the water slide and went down 20+ times! He is also getting very excited for his birthday and is practically counting down the days already, oh boy!

Hopefully we can share the news of Ethan's big arrival soon!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! We hope that you had a great time with your friends and family - we had a ton of fun! As you can see, Drew dressed up as Donald Duck and went trick-or-treating to all of the grandparent's houses. Then he went actual trick-or-treating in Papa & NiNi's neighborhood with his Uncle Alex. He had so much fun and could barely carry his candy bucket by the end of the night. His only complaint..."Donald has a really big butt Mom."

We Are Expecting!

Meet the newest member of the Lockner family! This is a picture from our ultrasound at 8.5 weeks pregnant. We are all very excited and Drew is very, very curious about all of this baby talk. He has decided that we should call the baby "Anemone" while it is in Mommy's tummy. For those of you not familiar with anemone's, they are the live flowers that you can find at the ocean. Not sure why he feels that an anemone represents his little brother/sister - but we are going with it for now. : ) Hope everyone is doing good!

Vacation with the Terrell's

We went on our annual trip to McCall with the whole Terrell clan and had a ton of fun. Drew and his cousin Lexi were instant buddies, totally inseparable. She loved to hold his hand but he was a typical male - "Enough Lexi!" while he tried to separate their hands.

Drew also had a lot of fun swimming with his Uncle Alex and watching him at the local skate park.

We got in a lot of boating time and enjoyed watching Austin, Alex and their 2 friends wake board.

We are excited to return next year to spend more time with the Terrell family. This summer was the first year that Drew truly enjoyed the water, boat and all of the family. I am sure that it will be even better next year!

Our Trip to the Coast

Our vacation to the Oregon coast was a blast and Drew loved every minute of the beach. We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium where Drew got to see sharks, stingrays and even touch anemones and starfish. The next day, we went to the Sea Lion Caves - Drew was very excited to go into a cave! He got to see the sea lions on the shore and also down in the cave.
We took it easy the next day and just played on the beach - Drew's favorite thing to do was stomp on the crab shells that washed up on shore.

On our last day, we went to the Hatfield Marine Science Center, Tim and I had never been there before. It was a great place, very educational. Drew got to touch more anemones and even a few fish. We also got to see a Wolf Eel, Drew thought it was very "spooky and ugly".

We got home on Monday night and were all very excited to be home. Chuck and Sadie came home from the kennel on Tuesday, they were very excited as well. We hope that everyone is enjoying their summer, take care!

Happy Birthday Drew!

Welcome to the Lockner Family Blog, just in time for Drew's recent birthday! The day of his birthday was spent with friend's at school and dinner at home with Mommy & Daddy. The Saturday prior to Drew's birthday, Grandpa & Joyce came over and helped build his new swingset - his present from all of his grandparents. Drew calls this new toy his very own "Park", he is in love with it! Drew's big birthday party was the following Saturday, at a park with friends and family. Drew had an awesome time playing with everyone and enjoying his new presents. His favorite item was the Spongebob Squarepants bounce house, he had a blast! Thank you to all of those that helped us celebrate on that hot, hot day! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoys our new family blog!
